The question, what is an Abomination? Simple to answer. To save big long explanations using game terms that only exist in the minds of the anal and dribbling we shall look at the answer as a learning experience.
An Abomination is a person who, before play, makes up a Character sheet rather than a Character. We've all seen this practice. We've all seen Abominations in use, most of the people on this very mailing list ARE Abominations of the highest degree. Abominations are designed to win through game play, without the Rules they can not survive.
Examples include :
Vampire: "Let us see, I'll need Obfuscate 4 so I can hide, Auspex four so I can do the Telepathy thing as well as spot hidden things. Must have Dexterity 5 to dodge things and no character is complete without 4 in Resources. I may be only 13 years old and a Vampire for 5 months but I own an entire corporation and am in fact 6th Generation. Since my Generation is so low I can instantly access all my powers and abilities without any tutoring or example. I'm also immune to Blood Bonding due to being so powerful and Dominate can't work against me as my True Faith and Iron Will stops it. I think I'll call it him Eric."
Mage : "If I buy 4 points in Arete during character generation it's cheaper than getting them later on through Game Play. Also I'll need 3 Life to heal myself which is vital and a Sanctum to provide all that Quintessence I'll need to feed my Familiar which will eat all my Paradox. I'll add two Entropy so I can manipulate every thing in Reality and call it 'chance' in action. I'd better take Echoes as well as a disadvantage as it is meaningless generally and gives me more Freebies to spend.
Abominations are generated when a person asks themselves the wrong questions when making this person. Oh, are you unfamiliar with the concept? A Character is a person, it exists with the background you give it. It is not a piece of paper with numbers on it that decides how many die you throw during combat. The Character is supposed to have goals, and desires. Failures and successes with the failures being more important. A person learns when they fail, when they succeed all the time they stop learning and become complacent.

Right Question -> What was my Character was before they were bitten?
Wrong Question -> What does my Blood Sucking Fiend require for abilities to kick mighty arse?
Right Question -> What sort of Vampire would my person have attracted as a Sire?
Wrong Question -> If my Sire was 4th Generation and possessed this huge fortune what is the size of my Blood Pool?
Right Question -> What does my Character stand up for, what do they believe in?
Wrong Question -> Maybe I should be anti-racist? Chicks dig anti-racist guys I hear.
Right Question -> What Disciplines does my Character represent?
Wrong Question -> What Disciplines can I freebie my way to that will Kick Serious Arse? It's not my Clan but this is my Character so who can stop me?
Right Question -> What Flaws has my Character accumulated?
Wrong Question ->What is cheap and not at all affective as a Flaw?
Right Question -> What Background has my Character left after the Embrace?
Wrong Question -> Money, power and guns. How do I make sure I've got them?
Abominations are the people who decide that Diablerie is the way to a decent Generation (decent in their opinion.) With Abominations there is no limit to the number of 5th, 6th or even 4th Generation Vampires running around the world all defenceless with no sense of self. So any 13th or may I hazard a claim of 11th Generation Vampire can come along and bite them into oblivion. All of this with no self endangerment or loss of Self at all.
Abominations are those who claim to be thousands of years old, and still have a height in excess of six feet. Julius Caesar was 5' 2" and stood a head above all his men. So you're telling me someone around that age was not a little dwarf? Six foot, and you survived without getting killed? Sure you did.
All of this and more are Abominations, or were you thinking about boring Werewolf stuff that should not have ever existed?
