Gary Lachman - A Secret History of Consciousness
Gary Lachman, ex-Blondie and author of 'Turn Off Your Mind' and 'New York Rocker', has a new book called 'A Secret History of Consciousness'. Here he argues the proposition that consciousness is not just a mechanical arrangement of atoms and molecules and physical laws but a living, evolving spiritual presence. Tonight he will argue the proposition, reviewing some of the works of Blavatsky, Steiner and Colin Wilson and other investigators of the hidden history of consciousness

Rig Svenson - Viking Gods, Runes and 21st Century Teutonic Magic
Rig Svenson's book 'Viking Gods...' is now published and his talk will cover some of the book's subject matter, including detail on rune divination authenticity and recapping on how the power runs influence the reading. And, prompted by a question at his last SC talk, he will also talk about Uighur, a Turkic language spoken in China which uses an alphabet of 38 Rune characters.

Simon Michel - The Shamanic Use of Hi-Fi.
Simon is a founder member of Dragon and has been a Secret Chiefs regular for over a decade. He will be exploring the use of sound and music in ritual. This is not going to be an academic talk, but rather an improvised demonstration to show how a combination of gongs, chimes, drums, recorded music, and ritual invocations can be used to produce 'Shamanic' states of consciousness.
