This animal has a reputation of being a ferocious defender. With those
powerful jaws and very loose skin they are more than able to defend themselves
against much larger predators.
They are found all over the sub continent and loves honey and bee larvae,
hence the name honey badger. Their thick skins and fur protects them from
bee stings. The little bird is one of the "Honeyguides" and they
would guide the badger to the the hives. When the badger leaves the hive
all broken up the little bird would then have a feast. These little birds
are extraordinary in the sense that they can digest beeswax. It is
believed that they can find beeswax by smell because they have been seen where
they actually went inside a church to eat the beeswax candles and I mean how
else would they know that a particular candle was made from beeswax.
The honey badgers diet consists of insects, rodents, reptiles, birds, fruit
and they would even scavenge.
