My journey began in 1980 when I created my first wrap around puppet for my daughter, Kim. Which led me to sell at the Pasadena Toy Show. After a year of this, I decided to open my own store.
I went into business with a friend in 1982, we opened, . 'Baby's are Forever', in Rialto, California. There I designed childrens room accessories and bedding , also refurishing Antique bassenets and cribs.
In 1984, my family was relocated to San Diego, after Kaiser Steel closed in Fontana, Calif. So I sold my business.

For the past 21 years, designing special pieces for special people has been my passion. From Santa's to American Indians, Dragons to all kinds of puppets and dolls.

My Great Grandmother Edith (Welles), made doll clothes for all her grand daughters , when she had time. She designed clothes for special people. One person she told me about was, 'Shriley Temple', this was before Shirley was a star.
My Grandmother Dorothy (Dickinson) also designed clothing for her grandchildren and dolls. Must say it was always a wonderful Christmas.
My Grandmother Josephine ( Simmons) did as well. So you could say I was born into it.
So as you see, I have a long history of designers in my family, to whom, I owe my talent.

In 1994, I entered a contest put on by 'Glitter International' . There were 360 contestants. To my surprise I won first place and my daughter won 3rd. The piece to the left with a castle, dragon and wizard in it, is called ' The World of Fantasy'. First prize was a check for $5000, which was given to me in a Info Comercial for 'Glitter Box'. Some of you might have seen it.

. My journey has continued and I work in several mediums. My favorite is, Super Sculpey. But I am still working with puppets, which I love. Creating special pieces for special people and enjoying the challenge of designing, keeps me busy.
My children and grandchildren inspire me constantly. The pieces of work you see to your left, are just a sample of things I have created through the years
