W. M. Paxton wrote “The Marshall Family, in 1886. Perhaps you might have the missing link that connects the genealogy to “The Daniel Marshall Family” by George Sidney Marshall dated April 7, 1949. I’m missing at least a couple of generations.

Aaron's Parents

(Colonel John Marshall and Eliza Ferrall) In a 1931 Daughters of American Revolution application, Col. John Marshall and Eliza Ferrall are claimed to be the parents of Aaron Marshall. Eula M. Pittinger, applicant and third Great Granddaughter of Aaron, stated in her application that her sources were: the Oliver S. Marshall family history (his daughter Virginia says no such history ever existed) and the notations in her Grandfather's Bible (Israel Harvey Cullen of Newell, West Virginia-who was a Great Grandson of Aaron Marshall).
