Aaron Marshall was a Baptist preacher. He preached in the Baptist church built on hisland at the mouth of King’s Creek and near the Ohio River.His land grant in Brooke Co. is recorded in Sims’ Index of Virginia Land Grants, p. 41. In 1809, in Brooke Co. D. Bk. 1, p. 505, his holding is listed as 75 acres, 144 perches, located on Tomlinson’s Run, in present day Hancock Co., W. Va.

May have been a revolutionary soldier. 1777 Commonwealth of Va. in Ohio Co., Va. He served in Capt. William Leet’s 5th Company 3rd Batt. of Wash. Co. Militia, being mustered in on 4 Apr. 1782 from Strabane Twp., Wash Co., Pa. (Pa. Archs., Ser. V, Vol. 4, p. 412; Ser. VI, Vol. 2, p. 394)
