Hancock County, West Virginia. Buried in Flat Cemetery. Married Lavina Miller 1 Feb. 1849.  James G. Marshall, was born at Fairview, Hancock County, Virginia, Nov. 21, 1826, died October 6, 1902.

       Children of James and Lavina:
1. Oliver S. Marshall, 1850-1934. Attorney. m. Elizabeth (Lizzie) Tarr.
2. John b. June 23, 1856. Place Tomlinson Run.
