Fannie Ennor, who married Ples Jones (my great grandfather) was actually another Jones, no relation (believe it or not)! She was born April 17 1885 and married John Paul (Jack) Ennor before marrying Ples. fannie died April 30th 1918, of erysipelas. Jack Died May 24th 1905 of a stroke of paralysis. Jack married Fannie Jones Feb. 1 1896. Ples married again after Fannie to Leona. (not sure of her maiden name). When Fannie Died, she left behind 6 children under the age of 12 ( One Ennor, the oldest child, and 5 Jones under 7)

I descend from James Cobb, youngest son of Ambrose Cobb (b.1729) and Sarah LNU. James was my ggggg-grandfather. James m. Sarah Beach 1790, son Robert. Robert m. Ellen Phillips 1813, son John. John m. Anne Long 1841, son John. John's son Henry Clay "Kay" was my g-grandfather. The family was in NC until the mid 1800's when John and Anne moved to TN. This is where my g-grandfather Kay Cobb was born. He married and raised his family in the Ozarks Region of Missouri, eventually moving North to Kansas City where he died. Anyone with ties to the ancestors I have mentioned please contact me. I would really enjoy sharing information.

I am a direct desc. of johann nicholas wyrick. A large number of wyricks settled here in the 1840s. what amazed me was my people here were harrassed for being german by southern symphathizers and joined the union army while thier first and second cousins in kentucky and tennessee joined the confederacy. tracking civil war records i found out they faced off in battle numerous times. a terrible thing.

I am searching for any and all information concerning the JORDAN lines which could have originated in Virginia with Woodford JORDAN, also associated with NC (apparently state lines changed), then into Tennessee. Known names associated with this Woodford JORDAN (living in close proximity) were Thomas JORDAN, Enoch JORDAN, Ewel JORDAN. These JORDANs were found in Hancock Co., TN, Grainger Co., TN, Clairborne Co., TN areas in the middle 1840's-1850's. I have not completed much research but I have reason to believe a line of these JORDANs would have emigrated towards Alabama as well. Specifically researching the COFFEY/JORDAN links found in the Grainger and Hancock areas of TN in the 1840's & 1850's. Thanks!

I found your webpage when I typed in my father's name, Jeb Pickard. Henry Pickard and Allie Taylor's fourth child, Mary Etta Taylor had my grandfather, Claude Eugene Pickard, with Keith Lay (I didn't know all of this before I read your website). Claude married Peggy Day, my grandmother. They had six children, though your website only lists five. The eldest is Clay Pickard. My father, Jeb S. Pickard is the second eldest and is a doctor (specializing in pulmonology) in the Air Force in San Antonio, TX (not San Diego). He married Janet Gardner Mayse, my mother, on September 26, 1980. They have three children: Anneliese Day Pickard, Alexis Michael Pickard, and Cameron Stuart Pickard. Jeb's four brothers and one sister also have children. I cannot name all of them (my cousins) off hand, though! There are so many! At least one of my dad's brothers is also a doctor (I want to say it's Clay, but I'm not certain). Your story is so close to what I'm looking for but I'm just not sure.... We have a really strange likeness. I am looking for ezekiel attaway, who came from Germany, went to work never came home. He was married to a full blooded cherokee indian (name unknown). His brother then married her. Anyway, when I first found this I thought I'd hit the jackpot. LOL My Attaway bunch lives in Fouke, AR . I cant seem to find anywhere to turn. I cant find an Attaway from Germany anywhere. Any pointers or info. I don't know anything about Ezekiel ecept his son was also Ezekiel born in 1887. There are several attaway family members still around but no one knows anything.

Their son my 3rd. great was Pleasant Cobbs, born 11-14-1760, his son Pleasant Cobbs, Jr.,born 12-13-1795 his son Gideon W. Cobbs, born in Noble County, Indiana, his son my grandfather, Frank F. Cobbs was born 11-29-1898 & died 2-15-1988. My grandfather was married to Ethel Mae Cramer, who died 6-12-1958. His second wife was ? Reed. Who ever has been doing the history, has forgotten about my mother, Loretta Irene Cobbs, married to Frank Martin Bowers . My mother had three sisters , Betty Shank, Nora ?, Lillian? I am sure since I was taken my the family when I was 8 years old, the files have been sealed. I was born Marla Lee Bowers. That is one thing my adopted parents did not let me forget.
