| FAQs . . . (frequently asked questions!) What is Bahama Bash? Bash is Martin's all-night, after-prom celebration featuring games, food, music, incredible decorations and valuable prizes. This alcohol-free event is held at the high school, sponsored by the PTSA and organized and staffed by volunteers. How can I get involved? Senior parents are encouraged to join the fun and make this event a memorable one for your student. Parents need to do the following in order to volunteer - 1. Be an approved AISD volunteer. (click and link to download an application or apply online). 2. Complete a minimum of 10 volunteer hours PRIOR to the night of Bahama Bash. 3. Donate $25 parent contribution to Bahama Bash.(For every $25 donated - up to $100 - your senior's name will be entered in a scholarship drawing held at the conclusion of Bash. Make checks payable to MHS Bahama Bash and mail to: Christine Davisson, 3702 Ruidoso Drive, Arlington, TX 76017) 4. Be a current member of Martin PTSA for the 2007-8 school year. Dues are $6 per person. (use link to Smoke Signals for membership form and more information) 5. Pick up your Bahama Bash volunteer t-shirt. For security reasons, the school asks each volunteer parent to wear the designated shirt on the night of Bash. Want more information? | Mark your calendars with these . . . . Important Dates!! Bash Ticket Sales - April 21-25 - Missed these dates? See Lisa Pantuso - MHS Room 290C during B lunch periods to purchase! Bash Parent Volunteer Meeting - Tuesday, May 13th in the cafeteria! Were you unable to attend? Contact Melinda Nelson at (817)561-5471 or melindasnelson@gmail.com for information! Load Decorations at Warehouse - Tuesday, May 20th at 7pm WE NEED EVERYONE!! Extra hours can be worked at the warehouse this Saturday 10am-1pm as well as our loading date on Tuesday night! Unload Decorations and Prepare MHS Campus for Bash - Friday, May 23rd We will begin laying down protective tarps on the MHS gym floors at 12:30pm At 3pm, we will need EVERYONE possible to come help unload decorations! Then, the fun begins as we transform the corridors, cafeteria and gyms of Martin into a tropical paradise. Dinner will be provided and served to all volunteers by Spring Creek BBQ!! This is a big undertaking for one night ... but possible when everyone pitches in and stays until the job is done. Thanks for planning NOW to make this event a priority!! Decorations! Decorations! The decorations are in the process of being spruced up, repaired and repainted at our warehouse located in Southwest Business Park, 7920 Rodeo Trail, suites 220 and 240 in Mansfield. (Take 287 south to Debbie Lane/157 ... turn right on Debbie Lane and continue several miles past railroad tracks ... warehouse complex will be on the left with entrance before large Peyco sign.) Beginning Saturday, March 15th, the warehouse will be open on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (6-8pm) and Saturdays (10am-1pm) for construction and repairs.
