North Carolina is the home of the best roads in the United States when it comes to motorcycle sport touring. Our members are all avid motorcyclists. We own and ride many different makes and models of motorcycles, but without a doubt, we lean towards sport touring.

Our strong preference is for roads with sweeping curves and twisted switchbacks. We love panoramic views as well as tightly wooded lanes. Mostly, we love to ride, to meet, to eat, and to talk about our bikes.

As a volunteer membership organization, we invite anyone who is interested in motorcycle riding. We promote safety and safety equipment as a part of our enthusiasm. We always encourage riders to ride at their own pace and not to force themselves to keep up with other riders.

Each year In North Carolina,  we plan numerous multi-day rides which typically have a base of operations within the state. From that hub, we ride various planned or spontaneous routes. Of course, we have members all over the state who conduct spontaneous rides in their immediate home vicinities. It is not uncommon to ride several hundred miles per day.

As a state chapter of the national HSTA, we are invited to participate with other state chapters in their Sport Touring Association Rendezvous (STAR) events.  This presents the opportunity to ride all around the United States with like-minded riders.
