Dr. Eugene Dobbs officiated. Burial was in Cedarlawn Cemetery with the arrangements under the direction of McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mrs. Land died Tuesday morning in the family residence. She was a lifelong resident of Neshoba County, and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was an active member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club and Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 91. For many years, she was a clerk at Mars Brothers. Mrs. Land is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Martha Kate Phillips of Calhoun City; on son, James E. Land of Union; three grandsons, Larry, Lesley and David Land, all of Union; two sisters, Mrs. I. D. Wilson of Philadelphia and Mrs. Lillian Seal of Picayune. Pallbearers were Jack Land, Billy Land, James Harlan Stamper, william Latimer, Parker Stokes, Marvin Sansing and Mars Sansing.     |
