She had been a life long consistent member of the Methodist Church and was one of the most beloved ladies of her community. Mrs. DeWeese is survived by her husband and eight children, four sons, Elmer, C. A. and C. C. DeWeese, all of Meridian, C. E. DeWeese of Bay City, Texas, and four daughters Mrs. A. C. Bryan, Meridian, Mrs. Rufus Mulholland and Mrs. Waddell Mulholland of Shady Grove community and Mrs. Joe Gipson of Collinsville. She also left three brothers, Fletcher Darnell, Meridian, M. D. and J. A. Darnell of Moscow, Kemper County, and two sisters, Mrs. B. W. Perkins of Moscow and Mrs. Mattie McMillon, Collinsville. Funeral services were held at 3:30 Saturday afternoon at Mars Hill church with Rev. Nicholson officiating. Interment followed in Mars Hill cemetery. Dees Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.     |
