The Mars Family Patriarch -

This ancestor could have possibly been born in NC but certainly lived there at least a portion of his life. He could have spelled his last as either Mars or Marrs; and, according to family notes, his name could very well be Robert. The 1830 Tuscaloosa Co., AL census lists a H. A. Marrs family living close by to our ancestors, thus making him a good candidate for a brother of James Henry Mars. It is possible they traveled in the same wagon train bound from NC to AL. I have been unable to find the H. A. Marrs family in the 1840 census or beyond.

Possible Mars/Marrs children:

+	1	M	i	James Henry Mars, Sr. was born April 08, 1802. He died in 1868.
	2	M	ii	H. A. Marrs was born between 1800 - 1810.
