Philip Quast has to be one of the most superbly talented actors of all time. Mostly know for his highly acclaimed performance as Javert, stated by many to be the best in the world, Philip's skill and devotion to the field of drama is something to marvel at. He delves into his characters minds and thoughts--becoming the character himself, which makes for an excellent performance. Nothing will stand in his way of making his character realistic and true-to-life. This is a great compliment considering the great nature and disposition difference of the roles he has portrayed. Not to mention his beautiful voice that would melt anyone's heart. Fortunately for his many admirers overseas, Philip doesn't confine himself to musical theatre alone. He has performed many a difficult role on television and the big screen, as well as numerous theatrical works. But what is most striking about his acting is his versatiliy as an actor. From comedy in Around the World in 80 Ways, drama in Les Miserables, ammorality in The Damnation of Harvey McHugh, and kindness in Brides of Christ, each role is heart-felt and convincing. This man can be anything the directors ask him to be. That is true talent.
