The PCs have, in order, 71, 76, 85, 80, 80, 78 available skill points. Each level of Mage or Priest Spells gives that PC 3 Spell Points - 6 (or 5) skill points is better spent on a Mage (Priest) Spell level and 3 SP then 6 (or 5) SP only (also saves 250 gold later). Level 1, mod 1 party - changes include no lockpicking for Jared (Bash doors or Unlock them), Skyle's Priest Spells level 1 (he becomes a secondary Priest sooner), and the 3 spell casters starting with 4th level spells. This is a savings of about 1,000 gold later. Level 1, mod 2 party - changes include higher Dexterity for the fighters (one less Assassination and Edged weapons/Disarm Traps skills). The mages have Priest Spells level 1 and a Mage Lore (one less Strength skill and 3 less spell points). The immediate benefits are to hit more often and have access to more Minor Blesses and Stumbles. Later, the mages can cast Ritual of Sanctification. This is an additional savings of about 300 gold later. Level 1, mod 3 party - changes include more priest abilities (thus more PCs casting Blesses) and more efforts to reduce later gold expenditures (i.e. initial priest levels).
