Paintings

Born in Panama City, Florida, Stewart moved to Ohio when he was very young. His love for vast open landscapes became the inspiration for many of his paintings. After high school, Stewart attended Ferris State College where he studied commercial art. Three years later he moved to Florida to start a new division for The Kroger Company. Knowing the abundant Florida landscape would provide him with great inspiration, he was happy to return to his home state. He is currently employed by the largest advertising agency in the southeast, Yesawich, Pepperdine, Brown & Russell.

In Florida, Stewart continues to study watercolor and discover beautiful subjects for his paintings. He has created plein air paintings in many different states and enjoys the opportunity to create paintings of the Florida landscape on a frequent basis. He feels it is important to paint scenes of nature so that he can share that moment in time with others. His paintings hang in several residences in Florida as well as other states. His has a studio where his art is currently displayed, at Gallery on First in Sanford, FL.

Stewart enjoys traveling to areas such as North Carolina, Maine, Tennessee and Vermont where he finds more natural beauty to capture in watercolor.

Stewart previously served as The President of the Central Florida Watercolor Society. He is a member of the Florida Watercolor Society, Plein Air Florida and the Central Florida Plein Air Artists
